Well more news from the edge of creation. Friday tends to be a better day as I try & go further down the street sometimes as far as Porters - for two of their always excellent real ale, but the jewel in Fridays crown for me is the hour or so I get to spend in the Bankhouse Pub which has the best views of the bay. So a pint a paper & the bay - does wonders for relaxation.
This week their was sad news of death of Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes playing the game he loved so much & at which he was so talented. It is always a timely reminder of the here today gone tomorrow nature of our existence. So if you get the chance to enjoy yourself then fill your boots - although this is advice form a dedicated hedonist - so gan steady & please drink responsibly.
Saturday means a trip tpo death row at the New Ship - I've been driniking there for a few years now & it's top ho. At the weekend the lunchtime crowd include some really great older guys - Maurice, John, Alfie, Willie and thier friends - they are always good for a laugh. We could be lucky and have the angel of the north behind the bar - multi-talented nce as pie person.
Most days I look at the BBC news website - but I found that it's coverage was patchy when it comes to other countries further afield, so it dawned on me that I could create a bookmarks list called news & then look at english newspapers from the capitals of countries I'm interested in. On most of them you can post comments & feedback - but they are genuinely interesting. So why not take a look yourself whether it's the News from Chile, North Korea, Afghanistan, Saudi, Qatar, Moscow etc.
Accompanying on this whizz around the news sites is a selection of very cool music curtesey of Spotify which for me provides umpteen hours of fun everyday from Eddie Metal to Northern Soul and many more.
This week in science I was able to deduce that helicoidal flow which happens in air / sand / snow / water is caused by the Coriolus effect. In addition the evidence of light waves & photons being interchangeable is proof of quantum entanglement - I later found this is called Bells Theorum.
Pronto Gusto & have a great weekend.

Greetings from the seaside
Greetings from the seaside......
Having found myself "locked in" due to health reasons I thought I'd do online what I used to do face to face which is of course holdforth on any & all subjects as I see fit from whim to whim.
I'm a late forties (as of 2014) disabled man living in a small town on the coastal fringe of Northumberland - I've been here since 2003 & illness aside have loved every minute of it. I've met some amazing people, done some amazing things and had a bundle of laughs. Feel free to contribute, criticise or advise - these are my opinions only.
